The gap we set out to close

The technology to clean water exists.

The sustainability does not.

Navmarg does not build another filter company. We rethink water treatment from the molecular level and connect science, hardware, measurement, and intelligence into one platform.

Endless consumables

Filters, chemicals, and membranes that demand constant replacement and generate secondary waste.

Unaffordable upkeep

Crore-rupee water plants fail when communities cannot sustain operations and maintenance.

Built for vendors, not villages

We design for long-term public value: low-maintenance systems that can keep working after deployment.

Our Mission

Advancing scientific pathways toward sustainable technologies for safe water.

Our Vision

To explore the boundaries of science and technology and build conscious innovation that truly uplifts society.

Full-stack water technology

What We Build

Four integrated verticals that stack together: science, contaminant removal, real-time measurement, and decision-support intelligence.

Contaminant removal icon 01

Contaminant Removal Engineering

Selectively removes contaminants without chemicals, consumables, or secondary waste.

Molecular process physics icon 02

Molecular-Scale Process Physics

Explains why separation works at the material level so performance is scalable and defensible.

Real-time diagnostics icon 03

Real-Time Measurement & Intelligent Diagnostics

Field sensors for continuous water-quality readings instead of delayed lab-only decisions.

Geospatial SaaS icon 04

Water Intelligence & Geospatial SaaS

Dashboards that map contamination and predict risk for governance and infrastructure planning.

Why Navmarg

Deep-Tech Moat

Molecular-scale science combined with selective separation creates defensible technology depth.

Integrated Verticals

Science, hardware, diagnostics, and dashboards build compounding value over time.

Massive Need

Water contamination requires reliable public infrastructure, not one-time sales.

Hardware + Software

Field systems and water intelligence combine into a full-stack water company.

Our journey

From school science to deployable infrastructure.

A timeline of research, field validation, institutional recognition, and early scale.

2018

Where it began

Arpit Kumar and Abhijeet Kumar begin arsenic work at the R&D Science Section, Bihar Bal Bhawan Kilkari, Patna.

2020

Lab to field

The first prototype is built and 3D-printed; structural setup and early field trials take shape at Maner, Patna.

2021
–22

Phase 1 field pilot

With PHED's Pranjal centre, units deploy across Bhojpur and Buxar. Arsenic is cut to below 2 ppb with CSIR validation.

Jan
2023

National empanelment

Empaneled by the Ministry of Jal Shakti under National Jal Jeevan Mission. UNICEF Phase 2 and MARU-MIS follow.

Sep
2023

Company incorporated

Navmarg is founded on 13 September 2023, with recognition from DPIIT India, Startup Bihar, and MSME India.

2024

Recognition

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Champion, AIM-ICDK India Winner, Hult Global Summit Finalist, and incubation support.

2025

Scale & first revenue

A 5,000 LPH municipal-scale plant runs in Bhojpur and commercial deployments begin.

2026

National stage

Hult Prize India National Winner and Innovation in Water Technology Award; 3.19 million litres delivered across 13 sites.

The full stack

Next: real-time diagnostics and geospatial water intelligence for national replication and South Asia transfer.

Impact & Traction

METAL® is out of the lab and in the field — delivering arsenic-safe water across school and community sites, validated by scientific institutions and recognized under public water infrastructure pathways.

Testimonials

Words from scientists and administrators

People who have worked with the team and seen the technology move from research to field deployment.

At Bihar Bal Bhawan Kilkari, our mission is to nurture innovation, creativity, and a scientific mindset in every child. The Arsenic project is a prime example, where our young researchers have dedicated five years of diligent work. Their technology requires minimal maintenance, no consumables or chemicals, resulting in remarkably low ongoing costs.

Researchers have concluded from this project that arsenic can be removed from water by engineering over its magnetic properties. The current design successfully reduces 165 ppb of arsenic to Below Detection Limits. I am very confident in the success of this project for governmental projects and international implementation.
